Our Faith

Is summarized in the essential things Christians have always believed, in all times & places.
We take nothing away from that, nor add anything extra to it.
We ‘major’ in the majors of the historic Christian faith and practice.

We Believe In

The authority of the Bible, and Jesus as God’s one and only Son. He is Savior and Lord of all!
Salvation is found by placing faith in his life, death for us, and his glorious resurrection to newness of life.

Our Worship

Is reverent and patterned, yet informal & joyful
— expressing both the beauty of holiness and the life of the Spirit.

Why Written Prayers?

When things are important, we honor them with ceremony and script (think weddings, funerals, graduations, etc.).
We believe the worship of God is important enough to do it well!

Our People

Are warm and welcoming.  We will accept you without judgment.

About the Church of The Resurrection

We hope this page and the rest of our website tells you a little more about who we are and what is important to us.  Of course, the best way to find out what we are like is by paying us a visit.  You will be warmly received and respected.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

At the Church of The Resurrection,

We are…

A Community of Christian Believers of all ages and backgrounds, coming together in weekly worship, regular fellowship and study, and on-going service. You will find genuine warmth and welcome, and a love that is not just talked about, it is a love that is shown.

We are…

A Contemporary Church in an Ancient Tradition. We value the faith, worship, and practices of Christians through the ages and we are shaped by these. At the same time, we are not bound by the past and try to make the great inheritance we have received come alive in ways that speak to people today. We stand with Christians today, through the ages, and around the world who uphold one faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of all, who live under the authority of Scripture as the inspired Word of God, and whose service is empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We are…

A blended representation of worship styles, incorporating the beauty of Anglican liturgy, the depth of old hymns, and the power of modern songwriting.

We are…

Connected to the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and to other Anglicans around the world. The Anglican Church in North America unites some 100,000 Anglicans in nearly 1,000 congregations across the United States and Canada into a single Church. It is an emerging Province in the global Anglican Communion. The Right Rev. Dr. Foley Beach is the Archbishop of the Church and Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the South.

We are…

Committed to service in ways that fulfill our mission to experience newness in living through a relationship with Jesus Christ, encourage each other in our journey in Christ, and to extend the goodness of God to others. We serve Inside our Congregation with our Children’s Ministry (RezKidz), Sound and Worship Team, Small Groups, and Parish Life; and we serve Beyond our Walls through our It’s In The Bag Ministry and through other organizations as the need arises (donations to the food pantry, events at MaMa’s House, making children’s lunches at Carolina Charter Academy, etc).
